Directions to UWC & Computer Science Department:

From the Cape Town International airport:

Upon exit, you go under an overpass.

Take the left immediately after it.

That circles back around to take you over the overpass toward Tygerberg Hill.

At the large M10 intersection, turn right onto Modderdam Road. Continue along this road.

Go through several robots (traffic lights) and over a small bridge (over train tracks) with a robot just on the other side. Pass through this robot.

At the next robot, turn right onto the campus (you cannot miss it – it is well signed) & continue up to the security checkpoint (declare all equipment you bring with you, e.g. Notebooks, PC's, data projectors, etc).

From Cape Town:

Via the N1:

(The N2 starts at the V&A and after about 1 km the N1 turns off the N2).

Take the N1 towards Paarl.  After approximately 15km take the M16 turn-off (these are sign posted Jip de Jager Way and Mike Pienaar Blvd).  Turn to the right (thus follow Mike Pienaar Boulevard. Continue with this road over several robots until you reach the Tienie Meyer Boulevard junction, turn to the left.  At the next T-Junction turn to your right (you are now in Modderdam Road).  Continue with Modderdam Road until it turns to the right and you will see the new entrance to the University of the Cape clearly sign posted on your right.  This is entrance 4.

Via the N2:

Take the N2 towards the airport.

Get off on the M10 exit and go left. You are now on Modderdam Road. Continue along this road.

Pass the turnoff to the airport at a large intersection.

Go through several robots (traffic lights) and over a small bridge (over train tracks) with a robot just on the other side. Pass through this robot.

At the next robot, turn right onto the campus via the main entrance (Entrance 1) (you cannot miss it – it is well signed) & continue up to the security checkpoint (declare all equipment you bring with you, e.g. Notebooks, PC's, data projectors, etc).

Directions on Campus to Computer Science:

Main Entrance (1):

Follow the main entrance road up to a T junction. Turn right and follow the bend to the left.

Take the next left and follow the bend to the right. Keep straight ahead (don't turn left)

There is a parking area on the left & along the road - the road divides with a gravel strip in the middle (and goes to the sports stadium).

CS is the building on the right with the red brick and red shutters.

You can park anywhere.

We are on the ground floor through the large glass doors (on your left).

Side Entrance (4):

Follow the side Entrance road until you get to a circle, take the left turn –off, and the first turn-off to your right.  Continue with this road  - it ends in a parking lot.  Our building is the one with the red shutters.  The secretary is on the ground floor.
